The Douglas Shire Council is a working example of an organisation seeking sustainability by aiming at maintaining a healthy economy, vibrant communities and a thriving biophysical environment.
Sustainability should underpin everything we do in the Shire. We are all responsible for safeguarding our environmental, social and economic requirements - the Shire's triple bottom-line.
