Free Club and Association Skills Workshops
Council will again be running a series of FREE Skills workshops for sporting clubs and associations presented by industry professionals.

All workshops will be held at Barlow Park Conference Centre, Scott St, Bungalow from 6pm – 8pm and will include light refreshments.

Fundraising for Community Groups Including Sponsorship, Grants, Investment and Borrowing
This workshop will provide resources and information on the many funding options available to community groups. Participants will be encouraged to think ‘outside the box’ when it comes to improving the financial position of their organisation by exploring the innovative ideas presented. Those in attendance will also be treated to some tips and tricks for their applications to traditional funding programs.

Fail to plan or plan to fail. The Development Plan is a very important tool to the sustainability of any club. It overcomes transient administrations by giving direction, aids with prioritising resources and greatly assists with funding applications. Be treated to a motivating presentation from Andrew Griffiths from Oceanic Marketing Group and learn how to prepare a club plan by receiving the tools and templates to make it easy.

Club Committee Management, Governance and Managing Conflict
A productive Club Committee is crucial to the success of any community organisation. In this presentation, participants will gain techniques to overcome information gaps left by changes to committees, learn strategies to cope with increased demands on members and manage conflict. All clubs will benefit from this informative session - old and new!

One of the most important and relevant issues confronting community organisations today is the ability to identify and manage the risks confronting their most valuable resource - their people. In this presentation, participants will be informed of their obligations and receive valuable resources to prepare risk management plans for their own members, facilities and events.
