Park Bookings

Cairns Regional Council offers a park booking service for its open space and sporting parks but is dependant on the type of event. There is no need to book public parks for a family BBQ unless structures are to be erected or over 100 people are attending.

All park bookings are to be in writing addressed to Precincts & Facilities, Cairns Regional Council, PO Box 359, Cairns Qld 4870 or Council can be contacted on 4044 3044.

For commercial and community activities or booking of a BBQ on the Esplanade, please contact Council's Esplanade Office on 4044 3715.

Information Required for Park Bookings

• Date(s)
• Arrival and departure times
• Venue
• Brief synopsis of what booking is for ie services needed eg electricity, water etc
• Details of structures eg marquees, staging etc
• Details of food requirements if necessary
  Public liability insurance details (Note - Cairns Regional Council must be noted on insurance policies as an interested party with a minimum of $10,000,000 insurance cover)
• Bookings should be received at least one month in advance.
• Application for approval for park bookings

• Arrival and departure times
• Location(s)
• Brief synopsis of what permit is for
• Public liability insurance details (Note - Cairns Regional Council must be noted on insurance policies as an interested party with a minimum of $10,000,000 insurance cover).
• Requests for Filming Permits should be received at least one month in advance.
• Application for filming permit.
