CairnsPlan Amendments
Amendments to the City of Cairns Planning Scheme (CairnsPlan) pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Integrated Planning Act 1997 - Future Proposed Amendments - Consequential CairnsPlan Amendments
Planning schemes are prepared by local governments to manage growth and change in their local government area. Planning schemes must coordinate and integrate the matters they deal with, and also the State and regional dimensions of those matters expressed through regional plans, State planning policies and the like.
The City of Cairns Planning Scheme (CairnsPlan) is a dynamic document that provides a tool to manage growth and change in the Cairns local government area. Ensuring the CairnsPlan remains a leading and modern planning tool, amendments are used to make changes where required. Amendments to CairnsPlan will enable Cairns Regional Council to meet the current and future needs of the Cairns area.
